Amy Coleman arriva in Calabria

I am all a jitter as I prepare to leave for Italy. For the past twenty odd years it's as if I've lived in two worlds. So much of my soul resides in that beautiful drama filled magical land and of course so much of everything else is rooted here in the good old United States.... As soon as I touch down in Rome I become enveloped by all things Italian and often lose some sense of self. It can be a scary thing but then I arrive in Calabria where my dear, dear friend Adriana lives. Her glorious farm house sits in the mountains on hundred acres of land. She immediately feeds me my favorite vegetable dish, peas drizzled with butter and we go to visit her dogs, the familia Surizzo. A family of dogs all of whom literally smile. So here I go again. I'll be playing a festival Blue in Town in Puglia and a couple of other gigs with Texaco Jive, a group of extraordinary young talented men. Can't wait!
