Me and My soul sister Adriana

These are pictures of Adriana, my soul sister. The first of the series was taken last summer when I was on tour in Italy. After a gig outside of Rome I met this very cool guy Simone Fiore who as it turns out has his own band in The Eterenal City. Simone took me for a ride on his Harley through the lush summer countryside.I kept saying"please don't go fast", I'm somewhat of a pussy when it comes to riding on motorcycles. He didn't go fast. It was one o those magical moments that Italy provides. After we returned Adriana and I posed for this photo. Adriana loves Harleys. It was an awesome night filled with music, food, wine, a great friend and good looking men what else could one ask for in this life!

Amy Coleman arriva in Calabria

I am all a jitter as I prepare to leave for Italy. For the past twenty odd years it's as if I've lived in two worlds. So much of my soul resides in that beautiful drama filled magical land and of course so much of everything else is rooted here in the good old United States.... As soon as I touch down in Rome I become enveloped by all things Italian and often lose some sense of self. It can be a scary thing but then I arrive in Calabria where my dear, dear friend Adriana lives. Her glorious farm house sits in the mountains on hundred acres of land. She immediately feeds me my favorite vegetable dish, peas drizzled with butter and we go to visit her dogs, the familia Surizzo. A family of dogs all of whom literally smile. So here I go again. I'll be playing a festival Blue in Town in Puglia and a couple of other gigs with Texaco Jive, a group of extraordinary young talented men. Can't wait!

Amy Coleman: FBHate.com, Suchcoolstuf.com and spiteful Computers

Amy Coleman: FBHate.com, Suchcoolstuf.com and spiteful Computers

FBHate.com, Suchcoolstuf.com and spiteful Computers

Alright, back again at my blogsite I wrote here yesterday but my computer decided to freak on me violently splitting  this scene before I could save a damn thing.  I guess it was payback because I was just getting to a rant about how much I hated my computer for its flaky behavior admitting, however that  there was some justification for it's character disorder, being how abusive I've been to the thing from day 1 - downloading all kinds of meaningless software, raving worse than anything Mel Gibson could dish out when it didn't do what it was told. My diatribe began yesterday when I found this fab website while scanning other peoples  tweets, called FBHate.com. They (whoever"they" are) direct messaged  me asking me what I hated for the day. I messaged back "stomach flues and humanity." Both true but before I go on I'd like to clarify that I have more of a love/hate relationship with humanity,  leaning  more to the hate side, although I  decisively despise stomach flues which I seem to be suffering from at present. It was as I was blogging  about my stomach flu that I realized  I'd forgotten to share my negative feelings for my computer. At the very moment of righting and "writing that wrong the machine decided to remind me of just how much  I truly hated it, by crashing. So now you know why I never posted my blog yesterday it's all the PC's fault!. Anyway, check out the site http://www.fbhate.com/ When you want to get your hate on it's the place to be!
Here's another site to gander: www.suchcoolstuff.net/2010/07/amy-coleman.html. There's an interview with me  and being that I suffer from narcissism a quality I particulary loathe in humanity, I suggest you click on the page.Buono Sera.

CD up on Itunes

Okay, starting this blog with the hope I'll be consistent. That's the word of the year for me. Gotta stay in the game. Why? Why the hell not. What else is there to do. It would be lovely if I could write in this blog every day. I'd like to have my very own Ipad to make the whole thing easier. Saw my first Ipad live and up close the other day. I want it! Anyway my CD Goodbye New York is up on Itunes!!!!! That took forever not because of them, but because of me. I kept putting in erroneous info by accident. Had to shoot out for help to my friend and CD producer, David Cooper. He set it all straight. So go find a song and download. Make my day!
